Scribbled names inside scrawled hearts,
contemplative question marks.
Candy apple lips,
and rock candy eyes.
Why do you believe my lollipop lies?
Don’t you see that I’m a sucker for you?
Can’t you see past my sugarcoated stories?
The gooey impressions of your marshmallow hugs,
have managed to keep my thoughts stuck on you.
You reside in my every ice cream dream.
Silent white prayers,
reassure me that my candy-heart-phrases will not go unrequited.
Daisy petals left in a pile on my floor,
reflect my steady belief in
“love me, love me not’s.”
I’ve come to realize you can learn alotta things from the flowers.
The way your eyes linger upon me like molasses,
and the fruity fables I sell to you for a dime,
make my peanut-brittle bones shudder with elation.
Would you please just crack your jawbreaker barricade,
and kiss me already?

i absolutely love this. i love candy, maybe that's why, but i think it is so sweet and innocent, yet the message it clear.
