Is that a smile tugging at the corners of your lips?
Is that a tear jerking from the fringes of your eyes?
Perhaps a chill soaring down the measures of your spine?
For I cannot see you at this exact moment,
but I sense your every movement.
It’s almost as if you have crawled beneath the responsive layers of my flesh.
Delved within the chambers of my being,
as if we share my very existence.
Tell me,
are those butterflies fluttering inside you?
Amphibians springing amidst your throat?
Have you been cursed by vexation once again?
For I cannot hear you at this exact moment,
but I sense your every breath.
I feel your heartbeat pulsate throughout my being,
as if we share the very same blood.
Tell me,
is that a vibrant luminescence radiating from your soul?
A lush set of wings upon your shoulders?
The walking definition of perfection is found within the sight of you.
For I cannot be next to you every moment,
but I sense you all the time…
