Ice melts

Cascades calmly down my forehead

Finds tainted salvation within my barren eyes

Forms alliances with the make up that creeps

Creeps slowly down my face

In identical nonchalant fashion

Words sprawled out across the silence

Swallowed by the white noise

Sounds, tones - sanity's opposition everywhere

Tempting, teasing, tickling my senses

As you all watch in spite of yourselves

For you are drawn to the way my heart beats in rhythm

With this chaos

How my mind ticks alongside with this catastrophe

Reality selfishly offers

Simply out of obligation, blissful perfection, total deception

Lips parted, my transparent words rapidly escaping

Emotions towards other evaporated

As if I am mocked by the hands of time

Taunted by the lucid ways of life

Watch me, the lost naive child

Pondering my mere existence

All the while becoming more fixated upon the glow of the flashing lights

Allow me to introduce myself as your fascination

I'm said to be graced heavily with brilliance, intellect, and a bit of contempt

But you will never truly understand madness

Until you slip into my skin.
